While most people would consider the weather today to be crappy (55 degrees and raining), it was an awesome day for a long run! I didn't sleep great, but was horizontal for almost 10 hours, so that has to count for something. The latter miles of my run were tough, but it was because I was tired. My legs and lower back are dog tired. But nothing hurts, which is key. Yay! Here is how the week panned out:
M: rest / abs / 1+ miles at GOTR with some friendly racing!
T: 6.1 recovery (10:02 / 140 AHR) / arms and abs
W: 11 with 6x1000 meter intervals at 5K pace / 1.5+ more with stretching at GOTR
R: 6.4 recovery (10:10 / 138 AHR) / arms & abs
F: 15.5 (9:12 / 149)
Sa: 8.3 recovery (9:48 / 140) / arms, abs, legs
Su: 20 (8:55 / 154) - last mile fastest mile. :)
TOTAL: 70 and change
I am also pleased to report I am down a few lbs. Hoping to keep this trend going over the next 3 weeks even though I will be cutting back in mileage.
