This weekend I scaled back, destressed and had an absolutely awesome weekend.Highlights:
- Having a short dinner date with John while both boys were at a birthday party;
- Seeing the thrill in my son's eyes as he told me that he won the practice finess race at school;
- Sleeping in on Saturday morning until after 9:00 am (despite a crap night of sleep);
- Jumping on the trampoline with my boys;
- Turning over our out-of-control herb garden and planting more vegetables with Jake;
- grilling out on the deck;
- having a fire and inviting my neighbor over for a glass of wine;
- going for a bike ride down the beautiful trail with my son;
- having dandelion races off an old, wooden bridge;
- going to get ice cream cones with John and Jakey;
- getting flowers for our back deck; and
- running though the sprinkler with Jake on a hot, hot Sunday!
What more does a girl need?
