Yay. My fitness is finally coming together. I can feel it and I can see it in the numbers. Sweet.

As I mentioned in my last post, my 20 miler went pretty well. I felt good on Friday and did my arm weights, but opted for sleeping in rather than doing a 5 mile recovery run.

This morning I got up intending to run early, so I skipped breakfast. 3 cups of coffee later, my husband and I were cleaning up the storage area of the basement, etc. (haha - read: mindi was on a rip and Johnny was kindly obliging :). Finally, at 12:30 I realized I needed to get out for my run. John and I ran the first 3.5 together. It was in the upper 40s and super windy. The good news is that the run felt really easy and my HR was nice and low. Dropped John off (and the HRM because it was killing me where it chafed me Thursday). Finished the next miles progressively quicker, but all continued to feel super easy. My paces are finally dropping some overall without increased effort or HR. Finally!!! It has been a hard season for me and really a treat to see things starting to come together.

Happy Easter weekend.

Yay! I'm so happy everything is coming together nicely for you!

I hear you on the HRM chafing. I'm down to being able to wear it only once or twice a week. My skin goes through sensitive cycles, I swear.

Thanks Jen! :D

My HRM usually doesn't bother me if I have body glide, but its been KILLING me lately. Just realized when I changed the battery a week or so ago, I scuffed up the plastic and that is what was "stabbing" at me. Just tried to smooth it out with the scissors. Hopefully that will resolve it!! BUt man, that hurt!

Glad to hear the fitness is coming around, because so is Boston!

On the HRM, I've only had a problem when using buh-bump, an electrolyte cream. It took me a while to figure out it was the cream that was giving me a rash.
