I am getting ready to go for my morning run and I am thrilled that it is above freezing. Okay, it says "feels like 29" but still, that is a far cry from the 11 degrees I have grown accustomed to. Does this mean I get to say goodbye to the treadmill soon? Boy do I hope so. I know it is only March so we will get another good snowstorm or 2, but I feel like the coldness and darkness are finally starting to subside.
I am running the Madison Shamrock Shuffle this weekend. I can't tell you how much I am looking forward to toeing the line and racing - it's been a LONG time. SS is a hard, hilly race, but draws a great crowd and has some terrific energy. I really have NO idea what time I'll be able to pull off, but it should be a lot of fun.
My training is remaining relatively light, but I am no longer battered and beat up. Hopefully that will translate to a decent showing in Boston.
I had a big presentation on Friday in the Wisconsin Dells. It went over well. It is always funny though. I was thinking of Sage's post regarding how you come off through your blog. I always wonder what I sound like when I am standing in front of a group of people talking.
I still have a darn head cold. I am not surprised though. Head colds always seem to hang on to me this time of year. Hopefully after this week of tropical temps I will improve. :)

Hey Mindi, nice week! It's good to hear that you are feeling better at this point in your training, not so tired like before. I think that's a great sign for the race (Boston)! Good luck this weekend and have fun. What distance is the race?
Thanks!! It is a 10k (my worst distance). It is a very fun race and the weather should be decent! :)
