Whew!

Life has been going at such a rapid clip lately, I hardly know which end is up! We got a TON of snow last week and it was FREEZING, so I was mostly stuck on the treadmill. Sunday the roads had cleared enough and it was 33 degrees, so I was able to log my "long" run outside. Here is how it shook out:

M: rest

T: 8 easy out in the light snow (9:37)

W: 6 easy TM (9:07)

R: 5 easy TM (9:26) - so bored it was painful

F: 7 easy TM (9:02) - again, tough.

Sa: 6 easy TM (9:01) - amazing how much easier it is to run on the treadmill at a normal hour rather than 5:00 am.

Su: 12 and change outside (9:30)

Total: 44.22

Not stellar, but I'm getting back out there. Best part of the TM is that I don't wear my HRM so I don't see the ugly data at the end. :)

We will continue to run around like wild people for a while with Christmas (yeah, I better get on that), John's birthday (tomorrow!), our anniversary and trip to Nashville, finishing and furnishing the basement in time for John's mom to arrive right when we get back from Nashville, and dealing with lots of other crazy stuff you don't even want to hear about (trust me). Oh yeah, and throw in my naughty little almost-seven-year-old and I'll say its good I'm running again or I might just have a heart attack! Lucky for him, he is so darn cute. :D
Last but certainly not least, huge props to Joe+ and Mainers for AWESOME races. Both coming back from injuries and less than ideal conditions. Joe+ was 4th masters woman with a not PR, but second best, and mainers came in 3rd o/a with a huge (5 min?) PR. You 2 rock!!

Easy and on the TM makes you a saint! I don't have the tolerance required. :-)

Soooo any good tune-up races planned after the New Year?

I agree with Maria. I can't handle the TM and am in awe of anyone who can run more than 3 miles on that thing!

At least you should have some warm weather running soon in Nashville! Or aren't you bringing the running shoes? Does your husband run?
