Day 2 of recovery week and it was a goodish day for me. Although my freaking alarm did not go off again and I didn't get my butt out of bed until 6:30. That is LATE for this girl!! Really late.
Dammit I hate my new alarm clock.
And I woke up with a big 'ol crick in my neck, so I was cranky too.
I did get in a good workout though. 70 minutes w/ warmup; 4 x .75 mi @ tempo (7:17); .25 mi recovery; cool down. Not used to all these weird intervals at the SAME prescribed pace, but am enjoying the mix up/differences in this season.
I was pretty busy at work today, but it was fun work. I had to argue an impossible argument and I think I ended up doing a great job, even if ultimately unsuccessful. So that is always fun. Remember: this is relative people.
Tomorrow I have a whopping 20 minutes on tap for my run - probably the shortest scheduled run I have done since 2006. Woot. I am sleeping until 6:30 again!
I am loving me some recovery.
