It has been almost a month since my last post! I guess I was pretty busy over the holidays. I did not do great keeping up with my training schedule, but I think I am finally turning a corner.
It is also the time of year that I remember why I love my treadmill. I know that sounds crazy because everyone who knows me knows I hate running on the treadmill. But the upsides are:
a) softer surface and my hammies are killing me less
b) because I get bored to death, I tend to run faster and mix it up more.
c) the faster speed translates to the streets too
d) I can throw on a sports bra and shorts instead of 700 layers needed to survive 5:00 am in the Wisconsin winter. :)
So these are all good things.
Here is how my week panned out:
M: rest / abs
T: 5 progressive on treadmill (8:40)
W: rest /arms and abs
R: 6 treadmill (8:48) / abs
F: 4 treadmill (8:55)
Sa: 10 outside (9:09)
Su: 17 outside (9:21) / yogalates
I was pretty crushed with work this week, so had to lighten up during the week and pile the miles on over the weekend. I was feeling it a little bit during my long run today, but it was awesome stretching my hips and hammies in yogalates. Hopefully I am now on track!!
Happy running, peeps.

Glad to see you back in the blogosphere. I use the treadmill pretty often in the winter and it save so much time to throw on a shirt and shorts versus layering up (and the time debating just what to wear). Plus I got Arrested Development on DVD for xmas and am through about 9 episodes.
Glad to see you back on track. Be careful piling up the mileage on the weekend. That 17 is 37% of your weekly mileage. OK for a week, but tough to sustain in the long run I think.
That was quite a weekend! Nice mileage.
Yes, the treadmill is a necessary evil... but imagine how much worse off we'd all be without it.
