Wow. I was tired today. But it was a great day. I was on my own with the boys and they both had soccer practice/ games at 8:30. My oldest went off with his buddy and coach bright and early and ended up going to soccer games all day. That meant my little guy and I had the whole day to ourselves. It was priceless. At his soccer game, he was a scrappy little thing and scored 4 goals! We then went home and I started doing some much needed yard work. Then my sitter came over and I went for a run...Yay! I was planning 10-12. But as I got going, I realized I was just plain worn down. My HR was high and my R hip/hamstring was tight. WTF? So I called it a day after 7. Jake and I then proceeded to do 3 hours of much needed lawn work - and that was only the front! Yikes. But we had a great time! He was so awesome helping me too! We then went to the local nursery and got some geraniums, begonias and pansies. We also picked up some seeds for sugar snap peas, a variety of bell peppers, tomatoes, sweet corn, brussel spouts and brocolli. Oh yes, and marigolds too, as Jakey informed me they were essential to keep bunnies away. Now we just need to clean up and turn over the garden!

So yes, running is very light, but it seems like just what I need. Tomorrow - back yard and mulch! And hopefully a nice grill out and camp fire to cap off the weekend.
