I couldn't take it anymore

After 3 weeks of this wicked head cold, I finally bit the bullet and went to the doctor. 10 straight days of a headache, no sleep thanks to coughing all night, and finally sore teeth made me decide I had enough. I got a Z-Pack and will hopefully recover soon. I am not a fan of getting antibiotics, but enough is enough.

My official Illinois training program started yesterday (as a rest day). Today I have 9 scheduled - we'll see - we are in the midst of a big snow/ice storm and I have to go to Milwaukee today. I am likely to log 5ish on the treadmill and try to do the 9 later in the week when I am feeling a bit better... I don't think the roads are going to clear anytime soon so I am going to have to make friends with the mill. :{

Starting on a rest day -- I love it. Hope you feel better soon. That sounds terrible.

Reading this makes me realize I forgot to get my flu shot while I was at the doctor today. Doh!

Sorry you're so sick. Yuck. :(

If only Madison would learn what Minnesota found out: if you don't salt everything to death and don't snowplow straight to the blacktop, you end up with a perfectly drivable snowpack. (of course it freaked me out when I moved up here... wth are they doing? I wondered!) And snowpack is awesome for running... especially if you make yourself a pair of screw shoes.

I have the same thing, right down to the sore teeth. Fun.

It only hurts when i reach down for things. Or run. Or wake up.

Ha!! Bring it on, winter!

Good luck with your training.
