Back on track

Quite literally! Tuesday was my first track workout for my Capitol Mile training. It was fun and very motivating. And actually we only warmed up on the track - we did a time trial on grass and hills - it was something of a bear, but in that "good pain" way. :)

This week is also my first week for marathon training. I just logged 9 miles in perfect weather - sunny and 52 degrees. What a nice way to start the day!! I was still a little sore from the track workout, but everything felt nice and smooth, which is a good feeling.

It has been a busy week, but a very good week.

Nice picture. I'm glad to hear your back on track. Training for the mile? How cool is that?! At the local running store, their thing is to ask what you're training for when you buy a pair of shoes. I'm sure they always here "Marine Corps" or "Cherry Blossom." I'd love to just say, "Yeah, I'm training for the mile."
